The Wild Rogue Rides Again: Central Point's Premier PRCA Rodeo Returns for 2025

When the dust settles in the arena at the Seven Feathers Event Center next May, another chapter in Oregon's rich rodeo history will be written. The Central Point Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo, one of the Columbia River Circuit's most anticipated events, returns May 15-17, 2025, bringing world-class competition, family entertainment, and authentic western heritage to Southern Oregon.

Where Tradition Meets Competition

For decades, the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo has been more than just a sporting event—it's been a celebration of the western way of life that runs deep through Oregon's cultural identity. As a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo with a substantial $40,000 purse, this three-day showcase attracts top competitors from across the nation, all vying for crucial points in their quest for circuit finals and ultimately, the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

"The Wild Rogue has earned its reputation as one of the premier rodeos in the Northwest," says PRCA Commissioner Tom Glause. "The combination of top stock contractors, dedicated volunteers, and some of the most passionate rodeo fans you'll find anywhere creates an atmosphere that's special for everyone involved."

The arena will come alive with the full slate of PRCA-sanctioned events that test the skill, courage, and precision of today's professional cowboys and cowgirls:

Roughstock Events

  • Bareback Riding - Where riders match their strength and technique against the raw power of bucking horses
  • Saddle Bronc Riding - The classic event often called rodeo's "classic" discipline, blending control and grace
  • Bull Riding - The ultimate man-versus-beast showdown that brings crowds to their feet

Timed Events

  • Steer Wrestling - The "big man's event" where timing and technique are everything
  • Tie-Down Roping - A display of precision and horsemanship with roots in working ranch skills
  • Team Roping - The only true team event in rodeo, requiring perfect coordination between header and heeler
  • Barrel Racing - Where the Women's Professional Rodeo Association's top competitors showcase speed and agility

Securing Your Spot at the 2025 Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo

"We've seen increasing demand for tickets each year," notes event coordinator Sarah Johnson. "The community support has been tremendous, and we're seeing more first-time attendees discovering the excitement of professional rodeo. That's why we're encouraging fans to secure their tickets early when they become available."

For the best selection and pricing, mark March 15 on your calendar and return to this page to purchase tickets as soon as they become available. Early bird specials will reward those who act quickly, with limited-time discounts on select seating areas.

More Than Just Competition

While the rodeo action forms the heart of the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo, the three-day event offers a complete western experience that extends far beyond the competitive events.

"We've created an environment where you can spend the entire day immersed in western culture," explains event director Mike Thompson. "From the moment you arrive until well after the last bull ride, there's something happening that celebrates this way of life."

Pre and Post-Rodeo Entertainment

Each performance is bookended by entertainment that sets the Wild Rogue apart. Before the grand entry signals the start of competition, attendees can enjoy live music from regional western bands, meet-and-greets with rodeo personalities, and demonstrations of western skills.

After the final event each night, the celebration continues with concerts featuring up-and-coming country artists and dancing under the Oregon stars. Saturday night's finale has become legendary for its high-energy atmosphere as competitors, fans, and community members come together to celebrate another successful rodeo.

Vendor Marketplace

The concourse at Seven Feathers Event Center transforms into a western marketplace during rodeo weekend. Local artisans, western wear retailers, equipment manufacturers, and food vendors create a festival atmosphere where you can find everything from hand-tooled leather goods to authentic regional cuisine.

"Our vendor selection process focuses on quality and authenticity," says vendor coordinator Lisa Martinez. "We want visitors to discover products and foods that represent the best of western culture and local craftsmanship."

Family-Friendly Activities

The Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo has earned its reputation as a family-friendly event by offering activities specifically designed for younger attendees. The Kids' Corral features stick horse races, roping dummies, western-themed crafts, and educational stations where children can learn about rodeo events and livestock.

"We're creating the next generation of rodeo fans," Thompson notes. "When kids have a great experience at their first rodeo, they become lifelong supporters of the sport."

Community at the Core

What truly sets the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo apart is its deep connection to the Central Point community and surrounding region. Since its inception, the rodeo has operated with a dual purpose: to showcase professional rodeo at its finest and to strengthen community bonds.

Local businesses form the backbone of support through sponsorships that make the event possible. In return, the rodeo brings thousands of visitors to Central Point, generating significant economic impact for hotels, restaurants, and retailers throughout the region.

The rodeo's community commitment extends to charitable partnerships as well. Each year, portions of proceeds benefit local youth organizations, agricultural education programs, and veterans' services. Additionally, the rodeo committee works with area schools to provide educational opportunities about western heritage and the modern livestock industry.

Volunteers—more than 200 of them—donate thousands of hours to ensure the rodeo's success. From arena operations to hospitality, these community members represent the spirit of cooperation that defines rodeo culture.

Planning Your Wild Rogue Experience

For those traveling to Central Point for the rodeo, planning ahead ensures the best possible experience.

The Seven Feathers Event Center is conveniently located just off Interstate 5, making it easily accessible from throughout the Pacific Northwest. Ample parking is available on-site, with premium parking options for those seeking convenience.

Central Point and nearby Medford offer numerous accommodation options, from national hotel chains to charming bed and breakfasts. The rodeo committee has secured special rates at several partner hotels, which will be listed on the official website (wildrogueprorodeo.com) closer to the event date.

Southern Oregon offers numerous attractions that make extending your stay worthwhile. World-class wineries, outdoor recreation in the Rogue Valley, and the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival in nearby Ashland provide options for creating a complete vacation around rodeo weekend.

A Tradition Continues

As May 2025 approaches, anticipation will build throughout the Columbia River Circuit for the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo. Competitors will mark it on their calendars as a must-attend event. Stock contractors will select their finest animals. And fans—both longtime supporters and first-time attendees—will prepare for three days of world-class western entertainment.

"There's something special about rodeo in this part of Oregon," reflects PRCA announcer Wayne Brooks, who has called the action at the Wild Rogue multiple times. "The combination of community pride, competitive excellence, and genuine western hospitality creates an atmosphere you just can't find anywhere else."

When the gates swing open on May 15, 2025, that tradition will continue. And for those lucky enough to secure tickets when they go on sale March 15, the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo promises to deliver memories that will last long after the final bull ride.

Don't miss your chance to be part of this authentic celebration of western heritage and professional rodeo competition. Mark your calendar, bookmark this page, and prepare to secure your tickets to one of Oregon's premier sporting and cultural events.
